Frankfurt am Main Airport is the largest German airport. It is the fourth largest European airport in terms of passengers (70 million, 2019) and ranks 15th worldwide. In terms of freight volume, it has the largest freight volume (2 million tons, 2019) of all European airports and is 13th worldwide. Germany's largest motor vehicle traffic junction, namely the Frankfurter Kreuz, is located at Frankfurt Airport. The airport has two train stations. One acts as a regional train station and the second as a pure long-distance train station, where the ICE stops. You can go shopping in several places in the airport on Sundays and public holidays. The visitor terrace is worth a visit.
